DELIBES Léo

DELIBES Léo

Bio

Clément Philibert Léo Delibes was a French composer of the Romantic era (1815–1910), who specialised in ballets, operas, and other works for the stage. Coppélia, one of his most notable works is among the first comedic ballets from the romantic period. Coppelia's premiere in 1870 was an immediate success; it was a great relief from the heavy and sad ballets of that time.
