Iván Erod (1936) is a Hungarian-Austrian composer and pianist. Erőd studied at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music with Pal Kadosa (piano) and Ferenc Szabo (composition). He emigrated to Austria in 1956 and studied there with Richard Hauser (piano) and Karl Schiske (composition). In 1960 he launched a career as a pianist. From 1967 to 1989 he taught music theory and composition, and later taught at the Vienna Music Academy.
