La Vita è bella (Life Is Beautiful) is the original soundtrack album of the 1997 Academy Award-winning film Life Is Beautiful starring Roberto Benigni.In this WW II tragicomedy, Roberto Benigni portrays Guido, who moves during the '30s from the country to a Tuscan town. As he is Jewish, he and his family become victimes of the Holocaust. During their imprisonment in a concentration camp, Guido goes to elaborate stories to keep his son from understanding the truth of their situation. He tells the boy that they are competing with others to win an armored tank. He uses a perfect mixture of will, humor, and imagination to protect his son from the dangers around their camp.
